WE ARE ALL HUMAN!
Tuesday July, 22 2008 07:59 AM PDT
#1. I didn't have to pay the parking ticket I got a couple of weeks ago! YAY! YAY! I showed the lady that I had paid for parking only it was ripped in half and was hard to see in my car. And so I didn't have to pay the ticket. YAY! YAY!

#2. I rediscovered music last night. I was talking to Dani about this and she thinks it's just crazy talk how I forget about music. But sometimes I do! I go for a month or two of not recharging my ipod and only listening to crap on the radio and I just....FORGET music exists. And then I remember and it's such a happy feeling. I spent a lot of last night just laying on my bed singing and listening to music.

#3. These people have been picketing outside a building that I drive by on the way to work. I don't know what they are upset about. The only sign I have managed to see is one that says: WE ARE ALL HUMAN! I wish I had a picture of it because it's just this sad wrinkled white sign written in sharpie marker. WE ARE ALL HUMAN!

#4. I don't think I am going to go to my sister's other wedding shower this weekend. Just the idea of not going makes this week feel a whole lot better.

#5. JULY IS OVER NEXT WEEK! HOORAY! HOORAY!

Saturday.
Saturday July, 19 2008 09:01 PM PDT
Today was 1000x better than last weekend. I didn't feel well last weekend, I felt like myself today. YAY! Bike riding is getting difficult because it's too hot. But I keep trying anyway. I think I probably rode a grand total of 1 mile before I was too hot. I fail at summertime.

Then Chris and I went to Author Author Shreveport. We had to pay $5 to get in to look at books written by people from Shreveport. Chris wanted Civil War books written by a local historian, that was our reason for going and he got all the books he was missing by that guy. So that was good. But there wasn't really much there and it was kind of pitiful. At least Shreveport was trying to be literary. It's just that no one here writes anything worth reading.

And we did locate the Robinson Film Center. It's on Texas Street passed the courthouse towards the church. (And only maybe 5 people on my friend list will even care the exact location of it. But I'm going to write it anyway.) I'm not really sure where they expect people to park.

Now I am in bed with cookies and milk and I'm reading The Watchman. Never read it. I don't even know what it's really about yet since I just started.

Tomorrow: Erin's Wedding Shower.

JULY IS HALF OVER.
Wednesday July, 16 2008 08:31 PM PDT
I am going back and forth as to whether or not to be happy and optimistic or whiny and pessimistic about it. So I'm just going to leave it as a statement:

JULY IS HALF OVER.

Things to Look Foward To!
Tuesday July, 15 2008 12:49 PM PDT
#1. It will not be summer forever.
#2. BATMAN on Friday! Which means getting to tease certain people about their Christian Bale crush. This is always an endless source of entertainment for me. HA. I need to watch Batman Begins some time this week. It's been a while since I've seen it.
#3. I also want to see: Hellboy. Hancock. And Get Smart. Yeah, I am VERY BEHIND on my summer movie watching. I don't know how that happened.
#4. And I want to go to the new movie theater downtown that shows foreign films and weird movies and serves real food rather than just pop corn. I'm not even sure where it's located. I need to find out. Ooooh. Finally they are showing a movie that looks interesting. Mongol. It's in Mongolian! I don't think I've ever seen a movie in Mongolian before.
#4. The cooking adventure that Chris and I are going to have? We are going to bake a TARDIS cake! This will happen in August. Yes, there will be pictures. Chris isn't so sure this is a good idea. But cake is ALWAYS a good idea.
#5. When it gets cold I'm going to Hodges Gardens State Park to ride my bike and go camping! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
#6. Other things I plan on doing when it's not summer: Pea Ridge Civil War Battlefield, Old Washington State Park, ohhh and I want to go visit my cousin in Houston, and I want to go the shooting range! I miss shooting things!

Behind the LJ cut are lots of happy youtube vidos. I'm making this post so I can add it to my LJ memories to watch when I need cheering up. And I need a lot of cheering up in July and August.

Discovery Channel Commercial: The World is Awesome!

The commercial about the little kid who catches the wind in a jar and gives it to his grandfather for his birthday. I want someone to give me wind in a jar for my birthday.

Silly guy dancing in a bunch of different countries.

Funny David Blaine skits

Part One
Part Two
Part Three

A little boy being chased by puppies!

Crazy Dogs

Little kids are hilarious!. Charlie bit me!

3 Year old girl summarizing Star Wars.

Music:
Rilo Kiley - Better Son/Daughter - I couldn't just find the song, I could only find a anime vid that used the song. But...that's ok. I just wanted a link so I could listen to it while at work.

The Rules of Jen
Friday July, 11 2008 10:10 AM PDT
I was bored. And so what do bored people do? They google their names, of course! I found a list that some guy made called: Lamont's Rules of Jen My favorites:

#3 - Jen is frequently up to something.
#9 - (The Srey Maxim) Jen does not like being kept waiting.
#10 - If and when she so desires, Jen is to be cuddled and comforted without question or hesitation.
#15 - Jen will cross the road when and where she wants, which may be before or after everyone else.
#35 - Jen always does things her way. Don't ask.
#36 - Jen knows what information you need to know about Jen.
#37 - Addendum to #36) There is always more to Jen than she is letting on.
#38 - (Greg's Theory of Jeneral Relativity) If you are behind Jen, you are walking too slowly; if you are in front of Jen you are walking too fast.
#39 - If and when Jen makes an appearance, consider it a gift.
#40 - Only Jen decides if the temperature is right for opening the window.

Doctor Who made me cry. Actually it was Donna's grandfather that started it. It's his fault! And now I can't stop crying! I've sort of been on the edge of crying since Friday night when I got stuck in a traffic jam. I guess I just saved it all up until now? I don't know. But I feel REALLY SILLY. If I was Data, I would definitely turn off my emotion switch right about now.

So um. DOCTOR WHO! WHY I HATED IT MAYBE! (I still can't decide if I hated it or not!)

Doctor Who.

I have issues with people erasing other people's memories. This started way back when I would watch Star Trek TNG with my dad. And there was this episode with Data and this alien kid and at the end the doctor erased her memory because of the prime directive. And I thought that was just the worst thing that anybody could do to another person and after that I boycotted all episodes where the word: Prime Directive was ever mentioned. So the doctor erasing Donna's memories bothers me. And her family knowing but not being allowed to say anything bothers me. Donna should've been allowed to decide if she'd rather die or have her memories erased. So that's just not happiest way to get rid of a companion. I wanted her to find that stuttering guy from the library! The only way I'm making this be ok in my head is that after the Doctor left Donna's grandfather he immediately went to find the date of Donna's death in the future and right before she died, he gave her her memories back. And then he went back and told the grandfather what he'd done so he wouldn't be all angsty about Donna never knowing. (Yeah, unlikely but still. It makes me happy.)

Rose. I'm glad Rose has a Doctor to play with so now fanfic writers can have fun in an entire alternate universe where Rose/Ten happy fun sex can happen. Even though the whole beach scene seemed a little bit off to me. I never could figure out why she was complaining, she was getting a pretty David Tennant! How is that bad?! No wait. The more I think about it, the more I think I probably would've been the same way. It's like she's getting a fake version of him. Ugh. That's not good at all. He doesn't even have a TARDIS. What is he going to do there? I think I'll just leave that in my head with the happy fun sex part and think no further than that.

If Mikey and Martha are going to be on Torchwood, I might try watching it again.

I did like Jackie not being allowed to help out with flying. That made me lol.

I have to go cheer myself up now. I think I will draw.

What I'm Doing...
