I have called AT&T they have given me a resolution date April,24,2012. Have to wait n see that they have in store for me… Will keep you’ll posted.

Ashish,

1) I don’t know what baseband I’m on, but my 4S has never been jailbroken and was already updated to the latest iOS 5.1. Any eligible iPhone should be able to be unlocked.

2) That’s not really a question, but as stated in the blog, that was the situation with my 4S.

3) This blog post is “the procedure to do it”.

Awesome u got ur iPhone unlocked !

I have a couple of Questions….
1) Do u have to be on 4.11.08 BB[ Which I'm ]
2) I bought my phone from some one so have no clue wats the status of the contact ?

Can U explain the procedure to do it ?

I just called AT&T and I told them that I bought this iphone 4s from a friend and I would like it unlocked so that I can use it overseas. She got my imei and I got an email 1 day later saying that my iphone was unlocked and I needed to connect it to itunes. AT&T just got a little bit better in my book!

Hi, can you help me ? i bought an iphone 4 one year ago without contract but i live overseas right now and i dont have at&t account, i can only call the international number and those guys have no idea. perhaps if i give you my imei you can call the other number or enter the imei in the online chat for me, if u can help me please reply to my email snake753@gmail.com

Chris, makes sense. You should note thought that to get new ZipArchive / ZipFile stuff, you need to add references to System.IO.Compression.dll / System.IO.Compression.FileSystem.dll — Visual Studio + IntelliSense aren’t smart enough to add those references for you! I wish they made extension methods and other things in framework more discoverable.

Bob, there are nice one-liners in SharpZipLib too. I just wanted to show a comparison of more than just the one-liners side by side. I’m just happy to have it built into the framework!

In .NET 4.5, reference System.IO.Compression.FileSystem.dll and you can do this in a single line:

System.IO.Compression.ZipFile.CreateFromDirectory(dir, file);

or:

System.IO.Compression.ZipFile.ExtractToDirectory(file, dir);

Ain’t that sweet!!
