Are you planning to report this to the owner/manager of the location? Or maybe to the parent company? Also, firestone has told me in the past that as long as i provided a reciept showing that i purchased new tires they would gladly mount and balance them for me. Even though they didn't have the filter for your car, he could have told you in a nicer and more apologetic way. I hope you made it clear to him why they weren't making money on that sale. They took my car in for an oil change, didnt have the filter, had to order it. In the meantime they tried to jam a filter they had in stock into my car. I was not happy. It took about 2 hours and cost 2x as much as any other place in town. I too will never go back. I had the same problem with Firestone.
