There was a ton of stuff I left out of the PXE booting video. It was intended for my co-workers but I haven't emailed them the link yet. That video was done in one take; I really didn't care too much about it. I'd like to do it again and go over step-by-step how to make the whole thing work. It's not really complicated, as long as you understand very basic computer concepts. (Such as the fact that *gasp* files without extensions CAN be opened and edited!!!)

It's really neat discovering something like this; I'm sure a thousand other people knew about it before me and probably know 100 times more about the process/technology. At the same time though, I'm a little reluctant to just hand it over to all the other techs. Much of the satisfaction of doing things like this comes from the fact that you did it YOURself - without anyone else's help but Google. Maybe I'm a little selfish. I don't normally like to do tutorials like this unless there's some benefit for me. I don't see much benefit in this other than MAYBE a bit of gratitude from other techs/my boss. Usually what that leads to though, instead of gratitude, is the other techs asking you how to do every little thing all the time, instead of finding the answer on their own. Few things bother me more than lazy co-workers.

I enjoyed this post an allotment.

You covered work and school and bizarre Circle K adventures (batman shoes? wtf?) Excellent blogging.

You should stare at your ceiling more often and compose blogs. Plus, knowing that you're staring at the ceiling would take the pressure off of me having to type something in the aim box after I hit the space bar. :P
